Denim Delicacies for the Paper Enthusiast

Recycled Paper Making

Hand Made Denim Paper

Great to be back to paper making workshops!  Firstly showing how easy it is to recycle at home and some simple yet effective items everyone can use to create at home in their laundry or kitchen.  Some quick ideas on how to colour recycled paper.  Then I got to making some denim paper and journals recently.  Nothing like having a workshop with visitors from interstate to get some creative juices flowing and the need to make some gifts.  After a morning of cutting up denim and watching it processed in my "Critter", the ladies were itching to get into the process of learning to make paper the next morning.  Lots of lovely papers were made with interesting additions like Indian Rosewood leaf skeletons and Eucalyptus leaf skeletons.  Also the lovely Bougainvillea petals looked lovely in contrast to the hues of blue.

Some small journals with 110 gsm Cartridge Paper made recently.   Top right journal has a small piece of barramundi skin on soft leather both with leather thonging with a coconut closure.  Below a simple calf leather journal.
